From the official site: "Russell Walks' Celebration V Boba Fett artwork will be available as a 24x36-inch poster with a matte finish. The edition size is limited to 2,000 pieces."
As we have offered in the past, we will get Russell to sign these when we pick them up.

| GARY KURTZ TO APPEAR AT CELEBRATION V |
July 11 | Gary X
|
| We have it on very good authority that Gary Kurtz will be at Celebration V. After learning about it, I posted it in our forums. It was apparently reposted by someone at RebelScum, where it was confirmed by OP's Ben Stevens prior to it being announced by Lucasfilm sometime this week. |
 |

We will, however, take your personal items (including photos you may want to purchase and have sent to us) to the signing and you have until the end of July to get those to us.
Congratulations to everyone who's been able to get in this signing! |

| WATTOGRAPHS OFFERING A VERY RARE, SPECIAL “BONUS” SIGNING FOR JULY: NICK MALEY |
July 01 | Gary X
|
Wattographs is pleased to announce that immediately following Celebration V, we will be making a special trip down to the Caribbean to hold a signing with Nick Maley, who worked in Stuart Freeborn’s creature shop and was a major creator of the Yoda puppet. He also worked on the Wampa and Taun Tauns, as well as other creatures in The Empire Strikes Back. You can read some of his stories here.
Maley lives in the Caribbean, and mail service isn’t the best. He also has only ever done a very few conventions, due to his location, so we’ve decided to offer this special opportunity.
You can send in your personal items for this, or we will be offering a STRICT limited number of 50 for the image to the left. You can order by clicking on the “Private Signings” link on the left.
Wattographs no later than July 31 in order to be included.

July 01 | Gary X
|
| Wattographs is pleased to announce that we will once again be picking up autographs for people at Celebration V.

If you are going to the show and don’t want to wait in lines, let Wattographs pick up your photos or handle your items for you, so you can enjoy seeing the sights and sounds of the convention without having to wait in long lines!
We've been doing this for the past three Celebration conventions -- since they've offered autographs. We have a proven track record of taking fantastic care of your items and ensuring that they are authentically autographed. Don't try untested services with no track record or proven results! Wattographs has dedicated staff who will hand carry your items to the celebs!
Ordering ends at the end of July and all items must be to Wattographs no later than July 31 in order to be included. |

| A FRIEND'S ITEMS -- AMAZING SIGNATURES FROM FORD, HAMILL & MORE |
June 05 | Scott
|
You'll notice a new tab in our store titled "A FRIEND." We have a prominent uber-collector friend of Wattographs who has an amazing collection of Star Wars signatures. This friend has decided to part with some of his pieces and asked us if we would help sell some of these great items.
There is only one each of most of these items, so if you would like something, get it right away because once it is gone, I'm afraid I won't be getting any more from our friend.
While Wattographs will not be including our COA's with these items (because we weren't present when they were signed), we will vouch for and back their authenticity. If you have any authentication problems with the autographs, we can get you the details behind them. |
 |
| LONDON FILM & COMIC CON AVAILABLE IN THE STORE - PART 2 |
June 05 | Scott
|
Your personal items are one price for LFACC. We decided for this one show to test offering everything you send in at one price. Mind you, we are talking items from a 3x5 card up to regular sized posters (27x41). Anything larger than that or oddball size (props/banners/helmets/etc.), you'll need to email Scott at scott@wattographs.com to discuss pricing.
In saying that, regardless if you have an action figure, an 11x14 photo, or even a 27x41 poster use the LFACC "Signer" - Your Item option to order.
Regarding the Gary Kurtz Wattographs exclusive image:
We are just offering the 8x10 option via our store. If you are interested, we do have access to larger sizes--but they cost more to print through LFACC. Again, we are not printing these...LFACC is. You cannot obtain this photograph unsigned -- it's not for sale individually. You will be charged the photo printing cost on larger size images, plus the cost of the autograph. So, if you would like a larger size, please email Scott at scott@wattographs.com. |
 |
| LONDON FILM & COMIC CON AVAILABLE IN THE STORE |

| STORE ISSUES RESOLVED...WORKING AGAIN |
June 04 | Gary X

We'll have LFCC orders up and running tomorrow. |
 |
| LONDON FILM & COMIC CON ORDERING BEGINS SATURDAY |
June 02 | Gary X
|
| We are going to begin taking orders for London Film and Comic Con this Saturday. We will have all the Star Wars-related guests available on show-provided photos, as well as taking your personal items.
Special, rare guest Bob Anderson will be signing for this event and we've made arrangements with Showmasters to ensure all items sent via Wattographs will get signed, as we'll have access at the show behind the scenes.
Additionally, Showmasters is going to provide Wattographs with an exclusive image of Gary Kurtz that won't be available to show attendees from the Kurtz/Joiner Archives. This is the start of a potential relationship where we can bring selected images from the lens of producer Gary Kurtz during his time on the A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back sets. |
 |
| STORE ORDERING CURRENTLY AFFECTED |
May 22 | Gary X
|
| We've discovered a new bug related to our SSL attached to the store. As of now, orders aren't being completed (you'll get an error message). We think we've identified the problem and are working to get it cleared up.
I'll post a new message when it's back to "normal." Thanks for your patience. |

| WATTOGRAPHS TO GET EXCLUSIVE GARY KURTZ IMAGE FOR LONDON FILM & COMIC CON |
May 19 | Gary X
|
Thanks to a special agreement with the Kurtz/Joiner Archives, Wattographs will have access to a never-before-released photograph of Gary Kurtz available at the London Film and Comic Con in July.
The image will be in celebration of Empire Strikes Back's 30th anniversary and we're working to have the image available in the standard three sizes of 8x10, 11x14 and 16x20. The image will be only available via Wattographs -- it won't be available at the show.
We're also working with the Kurtz/Joiner Archive to get a special exclusive image of Bob Anderson.
Pricing will be forthcoming, as well as the list of available signers for LFCC. |

| ANNNNNNNNNNNND, WE'RE BACK! |
May 19 | Gary X
|
| Wow...what a move. Had to even call in the hosting's tech people! Wattographs is back up and (mostly) running. We've checked out the address database and all the entries are working -- but some of the pictures are still being uploaded.
Please note that the store is still down for now. We have the hosting working on correcting that problem now and we expect it to be up soon. |
 |
| WATTOGRAPHS TO BE "DOWN" FOR SERVER MOVE |
May 12 | Gary X
|
| We're having major issues with moving to our new hosting company. We're going to do a manual move of all our files and this may result in the site being down temporarily.
We don't have an estimated time for the outage, but will be up again as soon as we possibly can.
We'll post a new news item once this is completed. Thanks for any anticipated patience! |
 |
| LONDON FILM & COMIC CON: YES, WE WILL BE TAKING ITEMS |
May 10 | Gary X

| APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY SIGNERS: KENNY BAKER AND DARREN ROBINSON |
May 05 | Gary X
|
| Wattographs springs into May with two autograph signings from the original and prequel trilogies--Kenny Baker and Darren Robinson!
Kenny Baker needs no introduction, but deserves one anyway. He is the man beneath R2-D2 in all six Star Wars films and the ewok Paploo in Return of the Jedi. His other Star Wars credits include the infamous Holiday Special and a guest spot on The Muppet Show. Film credits include the pop culture hits Time Bandits and Labyrinth. Due to health issues, Mr. Baker has been no longer signing in the US, and makes few convention appearances in the UK. This is a private autograph signing with Wattographs and he will be signing official photographs and fans' personal items!
Darren Robinson worked in the creature shop in The Phantom Menace. Consequently, he played the various Delegates in the Galactic Senate along with John Fensom. Among them, he played the Rodian, Ithorian, and Aqualish, representatives. Mr. Robinson will be signing official photographs and fans' personal collectibles!
Signing ends May 30th at 11:59:59 EDT. Personal items need to arrive with Wattographs by that date. Check out the "Private Signings" link to the left to go directly to ordering. |

| SERVER MOVE CAUSING SNAFU'S |
May 05 | Gary X
|
| Our web-hosting company was recently acquired by another company. With this acquisition comes moving to new servers (again). This is causing several issues with the site, including our SSL Certificate not being connected properly. If you try and purchase from our store, you will receive a warning because of that. Please disregard it for the time being. Since we handle all of our payments online via PayPal, you are protected via them against fraud. Please feel free to continue ordering from the store and for our private signings in the interim, as we don't know when this issue is gonna be corrected.
Additionally, Gary's email is narfed. He can receive but he can't send out, so responses have been slow.
As soon as we can resolve these issues, we'll let you know. |
 |
| A VERY, VERY, VERY RARE AUTOGRAPH OPPORTUNITY? |
April 25 | Scott
|
| We MAY have an opportunity at one of the very big names of Star Wars to do a signing with us on your items. Everything is VERY tentative but if this were to happen the signing would be in the next couple of months. This would be a very rare signing and quite possibly the only time you may be able to get this individual. The cost would be $1500-$1600 and your item must be personalized.
If you have any interest please email me at scott@wattographs.com. We are only getting a feel for how many of you might be interested in this, considering the cost. Again nothing is confirmed, we are just seeing if there is any interest and this is not a joke, it is very real. This is a very, very big name and it may be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Please do not email Gary or I asking for the name or even asking for a clue/hint as we will ignore those type of emails. |

| PERSONAL SALE: STUART FREEBORN |
March 16 | Gary X
|
Note: All three of these images have been sold. Thank you to everyone who emailed!
While going thru a trading card binder tonight, I found three Stuart Freeborn images that I'd stashed away and forgotten about. Because there was a bunch of interest when we announced our Connoisseur Series addition of Stuart, I figured I'd put these up and let 'em find a home in someone's collection, as I already have a set.
You can click "more" below to see the other two images. I'm asking $60 each + shipping for each. Stuart is no longer signing and all recent fan mail has been returned from his old address. Email me direct gary(at)wattographs.com -- first come, first sold! |

| WANT A LUCASFILM OR SKYWALKER RANCH T-SHIRT OR BALLCAP? |
March 06 | Gary X
|
| I'm going to be visiting Skywalker Ranch on April 1. I anticipate a stop at the Ranch's store where I can pick up logo'd merchandise. I figured that I'd also use the opportunity to take care of other people on the trip.
If you have any interest (please be advised it's not gonna be a $10 t-shirt or cap) and want to take advantage of a rare opportunity to get something from the Ranch, please give me an email at gary@wattographs.com and I'll send you the details.
I'll probably only take the first 20 or so people, so please don't wait until the March 29 deadline I'm going to set for this. |

| Dan O'Bannon Dead at 63 |
December 19 | Gary X
|
| (Source) Some sad news from the world of film making yesterday. Screenwriter, director and actor Dan O'Bannon has passed on at age 63.
O'Bannon was responsible for some of the favorite sci-fi/horror myths of our generation. He wrote the screenplay for a little film called Alien, directed by Ridley Scott, and worked on all the sequels. He was also responsible for The Return of the Living Dead, the amazing George Romero zombie satire, and he worked on the Total Recall script and created the B-17 sequence in Heavy Metal .
Not only that, but he provided the screenplay and served as Special Effects Supervisor on the John Carpenter flick, Dark Star, and he worked on a film called Star Wars
O'Bannon designed many of the screens seen in the original Star Wars |

| RIP GEIR NYMO: 1978-2009 |
November 11 | Gary X
|
It's with a very heavy heart that Wattographs brings news that our Norwegian staffer, Geir Nymo, died this past Monday. He was 31 years old.
Geir was one of the "original" staffers, joining Wattographs in 2005. He was instrumental in discovering several of the Norwegians who portrayed Hoth Rebels, and subsequently lining them up for their first-ever autograph signing. As a result of this, it led to the creation of our Connoisseur Series autograph pieces.
Geir was also a tremendous help when we brought our autograph address database online, helping to populate it with names and address from folks all over the Star Wars universe.
He truly loved Star Wars autographs and had a wicked sense of humor which resonated in instant messages. It resulted in Wattographs naming him our official Court Jester.
Geir had been battling illness for well over a year and finally succumbed to it on Monday. Wattographs offers our sincere condolences to his girlfriend, Veronica, and to his friends and family. Rest in peace, Geir. You will be missed. |

| WATTOGRAPHS ADDS ADDITIONAL SIGNER TO CONNOISSEUR SERIES JABBA PIECE |
November 08 | Gary X
|
| Wattographs is pleased to announce that we've added an additional signer to our Connoisseur Series piece: Jabba the Hutt
Tom McLaughlin, who created (at the time) new processes to create fiberglass molds and ran the foam lab where Jabba was created, has signed on for his first-ever signing.
We're still looking to add a couple more names to this piece and hope that it's going to be one of the best Connoisseur Series pieces we've offered yet. |

| JABBA THE HUTT CANVAS SPECIAL EDITION CS SOLD OUT |
November 07 | Gary X
|
| We have sold out of our special canvas prints of Jabba the Hutt for our Connoisseur Series. It was an edition of only ten, so we expected that it wouldn't last long.
Don't miss out on the regular Connoisseur Series, which will ONLY be available for sale through the end of the month. The only way you'll be able to get it after that is if someone sells theirs on the aftermarket...which means it will cost more than if you bought it via us. We have 16x20 and 11x14 shots available. |

| WATTOGRAPHS CONNOISSEUR SERIES: JABBA THE HUTT |
November 02 | Gary X
|
Wattographs is pleased to announce our newest offering in the exclusive Connoisseur Series autograph line: Jabba the Hutt. For the first time, ever, fans can get autographs of one of the galaxy's greatest villains from the technical crew and performers who brought him to life:
- Mike Edmonds (Jabba's tail and the first signer to repeat during a Connoisseur Series)
- Dave Barclay (Chief Jabba puppeteer)
- Toby Philpott (Jabba's Head & Arm)
- Howie Hammerman (Jabba's burps!)
And, from the technical side of the Hutt:
- John Coppinger (Jabba sculptor)
- Jez-Gibson Harris
- Bob Keen
- Richard Padbury
- Mike Quinn
We're also working on adding a couple more names, to be announced if they happen.
And, for the first time ever in our Connoisseur Series, we're going to offer a "special edition" version. This special image will be printed on high-quality canvas with archival-quality, UV-resistant inks. We are only making 10 of these prints available at a special price and each will be hand-numbered on the front. Consider this an "exclusive of exclusives" for the Connoisseur Series.
Fans can also send in their personal items for these signers. Costs for personal items will be less for those who order a Connoisseur Series piece, while those who elect not to participate will pay higher prices for individual signatures.
Orders will only be taken through December 1, 2009. Initial orders will pay for the photograph (or canvas print for the "special edition") and the first two signers. Following the intial order, signers will be billed at a cost of two signers each month until the piece is completed. After the initial month of ordering, the Connoisseur Series piece will not be available again unless someone elects to sell their |

| OCTOBER OT SIGNERS: THE KURTZ SISTERS |
October 05 | Scott
|
| Just a reminder we are offering the Kurtz sisters as our September/October OT signers. You have until October 31st to place your order for these two rare signers.
We have lined up Tiffany and Melissa Kurtz as our September and October original trilogy signers. Both of them played jawas in Episode IV: A New Hope. The Kurtz sisters are rare autographs and have not done a signing in about 10 years.
We are offering both sisters for the months of September and October. The signings are available on Sept. 1 and will be up until November 1. We are also offering a lot of great convention signers this month as well (see note below), including Rusty Goffe at Fan Days III -- another jawa who you could add to a multi-signed piece.
To make sure everyone gets an opportunity to get the sisters and get in on our convention signers we are allowing you two months to make payments on the sisters. With all of the signers being offered we felt two months to plan out your payments help you in adding these two rare signatures to your collection.
Please be advised that the Kurtz sisters will not be available to sign until mid-December. I want everyone to be aware that even though ordering will end at the end of October, the actual signing will not take place until December. We will have a staffer in attendance for this signature opportunity.
Signing ends October 31st at 11:59:59pm EDT. Order page is HERE. All personal items must be to Scott (address in store section) no later than November 30th to be included in this signing.

| OCTOBER...WE ARE OFFERING MORE CONVENTION GUESTS!!! |
October 05 | Scott
|
| That is correct, instead of offering one signer for October we decided to offer a lot of different Star Wars signers. Wattographs will be in attendance at the Collectormania London show in November.
There are six Star Wars guests in attendance at Collectormania London. There are some great signers who do not sign a whole lot, so don’t miss out.
This is one of the last, if not the last, conventions Irvin Kershner will be signing at.
You can also email Scott at scott@wattographs.com if you would like to get some autographs from the non-Star Wars guests at the Collectormania London show.
Signing ends October 31st at 11:59:59pm EDT. Order page is HERE. All personal items must be to Scott (address in store section) no later than October 31st to be included in this signing.

| SEPTEMBER PT SIGNERS ARE CONVENTION GUESTS? |
August 31 | Scott
|
| That is correct, instead of offering one prequel trilogy signer for September we decided to offer a lot of different Star Wars signers. Wattographs will be in attendance at the Hollywood Collector Show and Fan Days III in October.
There are so many guests in attendance at these two conventions you’ll have to check out our store for the Star Wars signers. There are some great signers who do not sign a whole lot, so don’t miss out.
Since we are attending these two conventions, this works out great for you. "Why?", you ask? Because we will also be offering the Collectormania London show in our October offerings (show is in November), and then the Kurtz sister signing in December. We’ll be able to hold onto your items and save you shipping costs if you want to add any of these other signers.
You can also email Scott at scott@wattographs.com if you would like to get some autographs from the non-Star Wars guests at the Hollywood Collector show.
Signing ends September 30th at 11:59:59pm EDT. Order page is HERE. All personal items must be to Scott (address in store section) no later than September 30th to be included in this signing.

| NEW GARY'S GARAGE SALE COMING LATER THIS YEAR...SPECIAL 'TEASER' PIECE UP FOR SALE... |
August 25 | Gary X
|
In celebration for my next edition of Gary's Garage Sale (Number IV!), I've decided to put up a truly rare piece from my private collection.
I'm offering an Empire Strikes Back Program/Cast Listing Card with 22 signatures on it, including four deceased celebs and several difficult-to-obtain names. This grouping of people represents a significant portion of the main cast from Episode V and four people whom you will NOT be getting again. The piece does have some slight corner wear (they're "soft," not ripped) from traveling to conventions and celebrity visits since 1998. I think they'd probably matte out pretty easily.
1, Ian Liston (Wes Janson)
2. Bruce Boa (General Rieeken) [deceased]
3. James Earl Jones (Voice of Darth Vader)
4. Jason Wingreen (Voice of Boba Fett
5. Anthony Daniels (C3PO)
6. Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca)
7. Michael Edmonds (Ugnaught)
8. John Morton (Dak Ralter)
9. Alan Harris (Bossk)
10. Gary Kurtz (Producer)
11. Chris Parsons (4-LOM)
12. Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia)
13. John Hollis (Lobot) [deceased]
14. Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian)
15. Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett)
16. Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker)
17. David Prowse (Darth Vader)
18. Michael Sheard (Admiral Ozzel) [deceased]
19. Kenny Baker (R2D2)
20. Ken Colley (Captain Piett)
21. Peter Diamond (Stunt Coordinator) [deceased]
22. Julian Glover (General Veers)
Pieces this complete don't come on the market very often and would probably sell for more than my asking price of US$1,500 (+ shipping). First $1,500 takes it. Please email me direct at gary (at) wattographs (dot) com |

| DOUBLE-SIDED INGOT POSTER ON SALE AT ALL POSTERS |
August 25 | Gary X
|
AllPosters.com has made the original Star Wars Special Edition "Ingot" poster available on sale for 76% their price. After the discount, final poster price is $21.98, marked down from $90.00. This is the poster type that hangs in the lighted boxes in movie theater lobbies.
I personally have a copy of this poster with 125 signatures on it -- it makes a GREAT piece to add a ton of original trilogy signatures to, without destroying the value of a vintage poster or having to resort to a cheap reprint.
Order the Star Wars SE "Ingot" Double-Sided Poster here . |

| WATTOGRAPHS AUGUST OT SIGNER: KOO STARK |
July 31 | Scott
|
Wattographs is making our August Original Trilogy (OT) signing available with Koo Stark, who played Camie in Episode IV Star Wars: A New Hope. Camie is Fixer's girlfriend in the famous deleted Anchorhead/Toshi Station scenes. While few fans have ever seen the 'lost' movie scenes, they have been featured in the film novel, the original Marvel comics and in the expanded universe.
Koo has been a notoriously reclusive personality, especially with regard to autographs and she's been on a great number of fans' 'want lists' for years. This is indeed a RARE signing with Ms. Stark who will be signing official photographs and fans' personal items!
Signing ends August 31st at 11:59:59pm EDT. Order page is HERE. All personal items must be to Scott (address in store section) no later than August 31st to be included in this signing.
NOTE: We are STILL experiencing issues loading images into our store software. Until this can be resolved we will post the image here, sorry for any inconvenience. |

| BEA ARTHUR PASSES AT 86 |
April 25 | Gary X

Star Wars fans lost another character from our universe, Ackmena the cantina bartender from The Star Wars Holiday Special.
From the L.A. Times:
Beatrice Arthur, best known as the acerbic Maude Findlay on Norman Lear's sitcom "Maude" and as the strong-willed Dorothy Zbornak on the long-running "The Golden Girls," died Saturday. She was 86.
Arthur, a stage-trained actress who was a success on Broadway long before television audiences got to know her, died of cancer at her Los Angeles home.

| WATTOGRAPHS APRIL ORIGINAL TRILOGY SIGNER IS ANTHONY DANIELS |
March 19 | Scott
|
Wattographs is doing a signing with our April Original Trilogy signer, Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), at the end of April at the Steel City Convention. Wattographs is offering our April Original Trilogy signer early, as there are 2 reasons for this. The first being we have only a few 8x10's left for Tom Sylla so we figured this signing is close to being sold out so why not offer Anthony Daniels early. Plus since we are meeting Anthony at the end of April this extra 2 weeks is needed to take orders and order the 8x10's from OP. We are taking customers items but only offering one 8x10 image instead of our usual 2. There is an error in our store software where we can't upload images. The image you see posted here is the image we are offering. We will have this image listed in the store as soon as we get our store software fixed. Ordering ends on April 21st. All personal items need to be in Scott's possession by April 21st. |

| PLEASE BE COURTEOUS WHEN EMAILING, IT GOES A LONG WAY |
November 21 | Scott
|
| Hello,
I have been getting more and more rude emails from people regarding Wattographs. This pertains to the 2% of you who feel the need to be rude. 98% of you are very courteous and I enjoy interacting with you. For the 2% of you who feel your rude emails will get you answers I am afraid you are wrong. In fact I just send them to my delete folder and you won’t get a response.
All I ask is that you be courteous. A simple Hello would be nice. Also when you have questions on the status of your items it would be very helpful if you could provide as many details on what items you are referring to, an order number would also be good. Using several !!!!!! to make a point just comes off as rude and I will not respond. If you can be kind in your requests I will be kind in my responses. But then again if you are rude from the beginning don’t expect an email in return.
Thanks for reading.

Chris Walsh: Hi Matt, how are you?
Matt Rowan: Good.
CW: First time I’ve had a police officer to my house.
MR: (Laughing) It’s ok, I’m off duty.
After offering him a drink we sit down and get to work.

| PRIVATE SIGNING PERSONALIZATION REQUESTS |
August 27 | Gary X
|
| Wattographs always offers the option to have your autographs personalized by any of our signers. However, the actor ultimately decides whether they want to personalize. Most are happy to do so, but it may not happen sometimes due to time, etc.
If you want personalization for any of your autographs ordered via our private signings, please email scott@wattographs.com with your order number and requested personalization -- we'll do our best to get it done! |

| FIRST IMAGE IN OUR AHMED BEST SIGNING SOLD OUT! |
August 26 | Gary X
|
In another first here at Wattographs, we've sold out of an image for one of our scheduled signings. The first image of Jar Jar Binks has sold out and we're not anticipating ordering any more of this image.
However, we've now added a new film image of Jar Jar from The Phantom Menace (seen at left). With our sales being this brisk, we anticipate it may even sell out, so if you're waiting to the last minute, you may not want to on this signing!
Ordering page is HERE. |

| AHMED BEST SIGNING & FAN DAYS II SIGNING |
August 19 | Gary X
|
| I've had several emails from people today wondering if items from our Ahmed Best signing will be back in time for the Fan Days II Convention in Dallas at the end of October.
I plan to attend SWFDII (and subsequently, Wattographs will again plan for send-in items for autograph guests at the show), as well as personally be at the Ahmed Best signing to handle it. There will be an additional OT signing (quite possibly TWO) available when I'm taking care of the Best signing. More on that in the coming days.
So, feel free to send your items. We'll also be adding a Fan Days II offering to our signing pages in a couple of weeks. |
 |
| RARE SIGNING OPPORTUNITY: AHMED BEST AS JAR JAR BINKS |
August 19 | Gary X
|
Wattographs has done it again!
Love him or hate him, Ahmed Best *is* Jar Jar Binks, the bumbling Gungan who ends up saving the day in Episode I: The Phantom Menace. He’s only ever done a few rare appearances, including appearing (and signing in very limited numbers) at Celebration I in 1999 and doing an in-store signing relating to his appearing in Rolling Stone Magazine as Jar Jar. Ahmed has also signed a limited number of trading cards for Topps’ Attack of the Clones card set.
Wattographs has arranged a VERY rare signing with Ahmed, which will take place in early October. This signing is scheduled a bit differently than our regular monthly signings. It will begin IMMEDIATELY and all items and orders must be in to us by September 20th.
The order page is accessible by clicking the Current Signings link in the navigation bar to the left. |

| BIG SIGNERS COMING? |
August 14 | Gary X
|

| PYEMAN'S REPORT FROM LONDON FILM AND COMIC CON |
August 05 | Gary X
|
| Our beloved Pyeman finally got a break in his schedule to report on the action at the London Film and Comic Con, one of the UK's premier conventions. Here's his report:
London Film and Comic Con – A Busy Weekend
by David "The Pyeman" Pye
Once again an early start – alarm goes at 5.00am – get showered and dressed and load the car up ready for the troops to arrive at mine at 6.00am. And so starts the 19th of July and the teams trip to LFACC. A two and a half hour drive including picking up the missing link of the team...if you’ve seen him you’ll understand this description is very apt. (Sorry, Wayne – only kidding). |

| WATTOGRAPHS TURNS 1,000,000 |
July 25 | Gary X
|
| This past week, Wattographs crossed the 1-million mark since May of 2007 when we launched the new site and features. This is a significant distinction for us, as we're a niche site focused solely on collecting autographs from the Star Wars universe.
With over a million unique sessions on the site in 14 months, we're ready for the next million! |
 |
| DON'T MISS OUR JULY SIGNINGS! |
July 20 | Gary X
|
Wattographs is pleased to announce our July prequel trilogy signer autograph session with Matt Rowan, a first time signer, who played the cunning senator Orn Free Taa in Episode II and III. We're able to offer five photos of him to choose from.
In addition to Matt, we're extremely pleased to announce another first time signer: this time, it's an original trilogy cast member, Terry McGovern. Mr. McGovern provided some of the voices for the Stormtroopers in A New Hope, the most memorable line being "These aren't the droids we're looking for." We're offering two photos of Stormtroopers for whom he provided the speaking parts.
And finally, we've got one more signer to announce, and that's Celia Fushille-Burke who played Jabba's dancer, Greeata, in the Special Edition of Return of the Jedi. This is a bonus signer to make up for the lack of an original trilogy signing last month.
Wattographs will, as always, also accept your personal items for autographing for any of these three signings.
Order page is HERE.
Order deadline is 11:59:59pm EDT, July 31st. Personal send-in items must arrive with us by July 31st.

| COMING THIS WEEK: GARY'S GARAGE SALE III - THE FIGURES |
June 29 | Gary X
|
| In my continued "clean-up" of what I collect Star Wars autograph-wise, I've decided to stop collecting signed action figures. With dozens upon dozens of signed figures, there's just not enough room to display everything so that it looks nice.
My change-up is your gain! I'm going to sell off all my signed action figures, offering them auction-style like I did my CCG cards. I have some true rarities, several deceased actors, and lots of uncommon-on-a-signed-figure names.
Watch this space! |

 |
| CONNOISSEUR SERIES SPECIAL LABEL UNVEILED |
June 20 | Gary X
|
I just got word that our special labels we designed for the Connoisseur Series have shipped, so I thought it's probably time to unveil the design.
We wanted to have a special way of denoting that exclusivity and specialness which is the hallmark of the Connoisseur Series.
The light yellow type on the label will actually be gold foil. The sticker features a "silk" lamination that not only looks stellar, but feels "smooooooooooooth" to the touch. The orange background is a simulated brushed metal.
These labels will be applied to the back of each photo and our hologram will then be placed on the label. We'll also have a special COA which will feature images of most of the signers on the piece. Once those are finalized, I'll ensure to post an image. |

| ROHAN NICHOL: SIGNING REPORT |
April 25 | Gary X
|
by Chris Walsh
ANZAC Day, Sydney, 2008
Just 12 days after my in person signing with Joel Edgerton, it’s time to head out to a shopping centre (mall) to meet Rohan Nichol for Wattographs. Because of a lack of transport and other factors beyond our control due to the “last-minute” decision to do it today, one of the major shopping centres in the city is our location for the signing.
Again, with my (ever-patient and increasingly pregnant) wife and daughter in tow, we box up the multitude of fan posters, pictures, figures and trading cards, we meet up with Rohan Nichol.

| DISCUSSION FORUMS HAVE RETURNED! |
April 24 | Gary X

| We're proud to announce that we now have discussion forums once again. We have worked for quite some time to try and integrate forums into our database, but so far haven't had a solution.
So, we've just gone ahead and installed new software. While it will require a separate log-in, we are looking forward to tons of new discussions about Star Wars autographs!
You can enter the forums by clicking the "Discussion Forums" link to the left. |

| ROHAN NICHOL SIGNS FOR WATTOGRAPHS |

I just got word from Chris that he's completed the signing with Rohan in Sydney. Rohan just came off his honeymoon and we were fortunate to have a little while with him in Sydney before he went home elsewhere in Oz. Chris'll have a report and some more photos to me in the next day or so. |

| JOEL EDGERTON SIGNS FOR WATTOGRAPHS |
April 17 | Gary X
|
by Chris Walsh
Finally, two-and-a-half months after sales closed for Wattographs private signing with Joel Edgerton, I got to sit down with him for a while to sign the items for fans and chat all things Star Wars and his experiences since then. Joel's been heavily into some production work, so setting up our schedules proved somewhat challenging.
After a slightly longer than expected drive to his production workshop (which he operates with, amongst others, his brother Nash, who was Ewan McGregor’s stunt double in Ep II and Ep III) my wife, daughter and I were very happy to meet Joel, probably the most well-known Australian face in the Star Wars universe. After opening the door and sitting down is his workshop, Joel offers my (ever-patient and understanding) wife and daughter a drink of water, and gets a beer for me and we sit down to start signing.

| PERSONALIZATION REQUESTS FOR AILSA BERK AND HILTON HOWSON |
April 15 | Scott
|
| Currently when you place an order for either Ailsa or Hilton, there is no comments box in our store or through PayPal where you can include your personalization request.
For the Ailsa and Hilton signings, and until we come up with a solution, please email me your personalization requests after you place your order. My email address is scott@wattographs.com.
We hope to have a solution to this problem in the very near future. Once the issue has been resolved I will post a NEWS item indicating so.
I apologize for any inconvienance this may cause you. |

| NEW STORE SOFTWARE NOW OPERATIONAL! |
April 13 | Gary X
|
| We've got new store software up and running for Wattographs. This has been a long time coming, as our previous software was buggy and did not live up to a single expectation.
The new store is SECURE, fast and you shouldn't have any problems with adding items to your cart.
On the "downside," since this is new software, you'll have to register for a new account, as we couldn't port over previous customer information. But, I think everyone will agree that this new software is a welcomed change! We are still adding photos to the items, but expect to be done with that soon. |

| Even though we don't have an "official" news item up with our April signers on the Wattographs front page you can still order. The "autograph store" link is live, as is the "private signings" link, which takes you to the April signers.
We hope to have an official signings "news" item up on the front page like we usually do for our signings. This won't be up until the weekend. But don't let that stop you from ordering. |

| GARY'S GARAGE SALE II NOW LIVE! |
March 03 | Gary X
|
I've put up the CCG cards that I used to collect for sale, since I don't collect them any more. There were a LOT of people who had pre-sale access to this sale and it just became apparent to me that I had to move this to an auction format in order to give everyone an equal chance at some great signed cards.
There are a LOT of great cards up for bid, including several deceased Star Wars actors, as well as the only example I know of an Ian McDiarmid-signed CCG. I've also got Keira Knightly on a CCG card.
Take a look! Please send any bids for cards to gary (at)wattographs (dot) com
I'm tentatively looking to end this auction on Friday, March 7 at Midnight, Mountain Daylight Time (-7 GMT). |

| WATTOGRAPHS CROSSES THE 500K VISITS MARK! |
February 26 | Gary X
|
| Today, Wattographs passed the half-million visitor mark. We relaunched the improved site and database in May of 2007 and in February 2008 crossed over 500,000 unique visits.
Unlike websites which count each page as a "hit," our counter is devised to count each VISIT to the site, regardless of how many pages the person looks at whilst they're here. So, in reality, we've probably served out a couple million "pages" to 500,000 visitors.
This is a great milestone for the site and we look forward to serving hundreds of thousands of more pages in the coming months! |

| RIP JOHN ALVIN: 1948-2008 |
February 07 | Gary X
|
From Erin Liddell at the Chuck Jones Gallery:
I am so shocked and saddened at the loss of a truly gifted artist and a man that was my friend. John Alvin passed away yesterday. Considered the pre-eminent movie campaign artist of the past 35 years, Alvin’s career began in 1974 with his creation of the iconic movie poster for Mel Brook’s “Blazing Saddles”. He most recently contributed design ideas for the campaign for Disney Studio’s “Enchanted.” In a career that encompassed multiple projects for such directors as Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Blake Edwards, Mel Brooks and Ridley Scott, Alvin was considered by many studios as the go-to artist for movie poster and campaign art. Alvin said that his work “created the promise of a great experience” and in that he never failed.

| SANDI FINLAY SIGNING REPORT |
January 30 | Gary X
|
Sandi Sly Moore Finlay has just completed the in-person signing for Wattographs and here is the tale:
Sandi arrives fashionably late to my place to do the signing, apologizing profusely, but glad to have come over. Dressed in trendy jeans, boots and a black top, Sandi is ready to go straight to work as a deejay once the signing finishes, telling me “Don’t worry, I don’t start work until midnight. “
Sporting her trademark haircut (or lack-there-of) which she tells me she’s had for almost 9 years, Sandi sits down to sign the fan’s items and tell some very interesting recollections of her time in the Star Wars world.

| JOEL EDGERTON PREORDERS END MIDNIGHT FEB. 1 |
January 28 | Scott
|
| The Joel Edgerton preorders end at midnight Feb. 1. You have 3 days left to get your orders in, so don't miss out on this rare opportunity to add Joel to your collection. I don't believe Joel has ever done a private signing before and Joel is willing to personalize your items. And remember a portion of the proceeds and all of Joel's autograph money goes to the Sydney Children's Hospital. Not only can you add a rare autograph to your collection but you can help a wonderful Charity devoted to children. |

| MEET WATTOGRAPHS' NEWEST STAFFER: OUR AUSTRALIAN IN-PERSON SIGNING COORDINATOR, CHRIS WALSH |
January 10 | Gary X
|
Chris Walsh lives in Sydney Australia as an IT Broker, but was born and bred in the most isolated city in the world: Perth in Western Australia -- the point furthest from the bright centre to the universe (Editor's note: What do you mean furthest? I LOVED Perth!). He is newly-married with a four-year-old daughter and his new wife is expecting a new addition to the Walsh Jedi Academy in May, 2008.
His first experience with Star Wars was seeing Return of the Jedi on the big screen in the early 80’s and was hooked from there. His interest in Star Wars escalated with the release of the CCG and he played in two Australian national championships, named as the top-ranked Australian player for quite some time. At the same time, he also discovered the precursor to Wattographs -- Autograph Central -- and the autograph bug instantly hit.
Combined with a ready supply of surplus CCG cards, he was off and running with the collecting of autographs. His first actor find was Peter "Pol Triedum" Sumner for Gary X about ten years ago.
After a hiatus from collecting, he is back in the groove, locating Australian actors for Wattographs and will be handling the in-person signing portion of these signings. That's a picture of Chris handling his first assignment for Wattographs with Ronnie "Dexter Jettster" Falk, at left.
Outside of Star Wars, Chris enjoys cricket, baseball, reading, and "down-time" with his family. |

| REPORT FROM KAMINO - ANTHONY PHELAN SIGNING |
January 05 | Gary X
|
| On a day when Sydney put on unseasonal rain (it is summer here), not unlikely the planet Kamino, in a galaxy far, far away, I had the pleasure of doing the in-person signing with Anthony “Lama Su” Phelan for Wattographs.
Casually dressed, the Australian actor probably most famous in his native Australia from his brief stint in one of our most popular and longest running soapies, Home and Away, Anthony Phelan signed numerous action figures, posters and Official Pix images for Wattographs.
His recollection of filming his blue-screen scenes with Ewan McGregor and Rena Owen (the on-set presence of Taun We) were all pleasant and he was happy to shares some of the stories from his brief time in the Star Wars world.

Chris will be taking plenty of photos and will do a write-up of the signing, which we'll post on the site ASAP. |

| JOEL EDGERTON TO HOLD RARE SIGNING WITH WATTOGRAPHS – DONATING ALL SIGNING FEES TO CHARITY |
December 31 | Gary X
|
Wattographs is pleased to announce the first-ever private signing with Joel "Owen Lars" Edgerton, from Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. Joel will sign officially-licensed photos and fans' personal items in this rare autograph opportunity.
Edgerton is quite famous in his native Australia, most notably for his character "Will" on the television show The Secret Life of Us. He has recently been noted for his role in the 2005 comedy Kinky Boots and is currently working on three films which are in post-production. Joel's brother Nash was also the stunt double for Ewan McGregor in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
We're also further pleased to announce that Joel is donating his entire signing fee to the Sydney Children's Hospital. Wattographs salutes this gesture and will also donate an additional US$5.00 from every item sold to the Sydney Children's Hospital, as well. We think this is an inspiring way for fans to get autographs of Joel and do some good for sick children, too.
The signing order page can be found HERE.
This signing ends on January 31. All personal items must be to us no later than February 4. |
 |
| DECEMBER 31 LAST DAY FOR SANDI FINLAY SIGNING! |
December 30 | Gary X

 |
| 2008 SIGNING PLANS: ALTERNATING AUTOGRAPH GENRES |
December 28 | Gary X
|
| For 2008, we're going to plan a system where we will alternate signers each month. The first month, January, will feature orders for a Prequel Trilogy signer (who's already on board and an often-requested name), February will feature an Original Trilogy signer, March: a Prequel signer, etc.
We're hoping that this will allow for people to plan, especially the large number of people who have posters and want to send them along for signings.
This will be the plan moving forward, if we can make it work. We'll also have many opportunities during the year for other signings as we're able.
For instance, we're going to make the individual Hoth Connoisseur Series signers available as possible, too. We'll also choose a couple of select conventions again and make their signers available for Wattographs visitors. |
 |
| NEW SIGNER: JANUARY 1ST |
December 28 | Gary X
|
| Wattographs will be kicking off 2008 with a "bang" as we put up a new signer with the new year.
For those of you who like to speculate:
This person has never done a private signing, but HAS signed for Topps Trading Cards. Will it be a Prequel or Original Trilogy signer? Stay tuned! |
 |
| NEW POLICY: NO COMBINING OF ORDERS FOR PRIVATE SIGNINGS AND STORE INVENTORY |
December 14 | Gary X
|
| We have implemented a new policy for our store. Because the "lag time" between signings and our in-stock invoice is sometimes lengthy, we've decided that customers will no longer be able to combine an in-stock item with a pre-sell signing item. It's too much of a problem to have to keep track of inventory and ensuring it gets sent out with the private signing items.
In order to make our lives easier, from here on out, customers cannot combine items in this manner.
Thanks for your understanding. |
 |
| TONY SMART BRINGS HOTH CS TO 17 |
December 12 | Gary X

| SANDI "SLY MOORE" FINLAY SIGNS FOR WATTOGRAPHS |
November 27 | Gary X
|
Wattographs has lined up a great signing with Sandi Finlay, the mysterious aide to Chancellor Palpatine, Sly Moore. Sandi doesn't do much in the realm of convention appearances, so she's an uncommon autograph. We have a whopping SEVEN photo choices this go-round, ranging in price from $29.99 to $34.99. We have to purchase specific minimums of images in order to get a price break from Official Pix, hence the reason for price differences. The higher priced photos reflect the ones we cannot purchase in bulk, due to the variety of images offered.
Orders end Monday, December 31, 2007 at 11:59:59 p.m.,
Eastern Daylight Time.
As we always try to offer, you can send your personal items for this signing. Please remember that all personal items sent will be handled in accordance with our personal item policy. Personal item prices range from $29.99–$39.99.
All personal items must be to us by Wednesday, January 2, 2008
to be included in this signing.
Make sure you read our testimonials to see what people have to say about our autograph services.
Shipping will be included with each order, when you check out with PayPal. If you desire anything like insurance or other extras, please contact us for those options.
As always, please feel free to email us with questions or comments! |

With 15 now on board, our Connoisseur Series continues to set itself up as a premiere addition to any Star Wars autograph collection. |
 |
| REMINDER: LAMA SU SIGNING ENDS FRIDAY |
November 14 | Gary X
|
| Just a friendly reminder to point out that our signing with Anthony "Lama Su" Phelan will end on Friday at midnight. This is to ensure we have time to get things signed before some work he will be doing beginning in January.
Don't miss out on the first-ever private signing by Anthony Phelan (he'd only signed previously for the Topps' Attack of the Clones card set). |
 |
| BURNELL TUCKER JOINS CONNOISSEUR SERIES |
November 07 | Gary X
|
Before the piece even goes out the door for the first signer, we've added the 14th actor to our Wattographs-exclusive Connoisseur Series "Battle of Hoth" photo. Burnell Tucker, who played Rebel Officer Wyron Serper, has come on board.
Like our Ewoks Connoisseur Series piece, this one is shaping up to be a truly one-of-a-kind addition to any Star Wars autograph collector's wall.
As we mentioned yesterday, ordering must end for certain on November 30, so don't miss out on your chance to participate in this series. |

| YET ANOTHER WATTOGRAPHS FIRST: A PRIVATE SIGNING WITH ANTHONY "LAMA SU" PHELAN |
November 06 | Gary X
|
Wattographs has lined up an exclusive, first-ever signing with the man who voiced the lead Kaminoan cloner (and governor of Kamino), Anthony Phelan! Because Phelan has commitments in January through March, this signing will feature an abbreviated ordering period so that we can hold it before year-end.
Orders end November 16, 2007 at midnight,
Eastern Daylight Time.
Phelan has never done a formal signing, although his autograph was available via the Topps Trading Cards' Attack of the Clones set.
We're also pleased to announce that we'll be able to send your personal items for this signing, too. Please remember that all personal items sent will be handled in accordance with our personal item policy. Personal item prices range from $29.99–$39.99.
All personal items must be to us by Monday, November 19, 2007
to be included in this signing.
Make sure you read our testimonials to see what people have to say about our autograph services.
Shipping will be included with each order, when you check out with PayPal. If you desire anything like insurance or other extras, please contact us for those options.
As always, please feel free to email us with questions or comments! |
 |
| DOUG ROBINSON ADDED TO CONNOISSEUR SERIES, ORDERING OPENED UNTIL END OF NOVEMBER |
November 06 | Gary X
|
Doug Robinson, who played a Snowtrooper in Empire Strikes Back, has signed on to become the latest signer to join our Connoisseur Series. This brings the piece to 13 total committed signers before we even "start" it. The photos will be sent to the first signers at the beginning of January.
We're working on another potential seven people at the moment, with plans to work on several more once we sign them on.
Remember, this is a limited sale for this piece, as we won't be taking ANY orders for the actual Hoth Connoisseur Series Wattographs-exclusive autographed photo once the initial presale is completed. There were a lot of disappointed people who missed out on our Ewoks Connoisseur Series photo, so don't be one of those people for the Hoth version!
We're also going to try and make available "private signings" for the actors who will be part of the Hoth CS. Stay tuned for details.
PLEASE NOTE: Orders must absolutely end for this piece on November 30th. If you miss out on starting this project from Round One, you will NOT be able to join it later. |
 |
| TRICK OR TREAT? A TREAT, OF COURSE: RON FALK SIGNS ITEMS FOR WATTOGRAPHS |
November 04 | Gary X

Whilst Halloween is not as popular in the land Down Under as compared to the US, I had the pleasure of meeting one of the most alien creatures available on Halloween—-or at least the man who voiced one–-Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Falk, who voiced Dexter Jettster in Attack of the Clones.
Unfortunately my first in-person signing for Wattographs didn’t go as smoothly as possible, with numerous stumbling blocks including Ron having to drive back to Melbourne almost immediately for personal reasons, to his car breaking down on the day he was meant to come to my house to do the signing. Nonetheless, sanity prevailed and, with my wife and daughter in tow, I headed out to Bondi to meet one of the nicest people I have ever had the chance to come in contact with. |

| OUT OF OFFICE UNTIL NOV. 3 |
October 27 | Gary X
|
| I'll be out of the office until November 3rd. I'm currently in Orlando with the family and we'll be spending some time with The Mouse.
I have limited access to my email and will try to answer while I'm gone, but I make *no* promises. |
 |
| YET ANOTHER FIRST-TIME SIGNER ON THE HORIZON... |
October 26 | Gary X
|
| Wattographs has done it again! We'll be announcing a brand new, first time signer who's been on a LOT of want lists. I've just received the confirmation email that this person is very interested in a private signing with Wattographs.
Who is this person? We're going to leave you in suspense (especially since I'm on a plane tomorrow for a well-deserved vacation with the family and The Mouse in Orlando). We'll announce this signing FIRST in our newsletter, so if you want to be among the first to know, make sure you have signed up for the spam-free Wattographs newsletter.
Hint: This is a prequel name -- but not Neeson, McGregor, et. al. |
 |
| WANNA BUY A USED DROID? NOT FROM THIS AUTOGRAPHER... |
October 24 | Gary X
|
| It's been common knowledge in the Star Wars autograph collecting hobby that a gentleman by the name of Hal Wamsley has tried to pass himself off as a Jawa. He has charged for his autograph at conventions, signing Jawa photos and making claims that he was the Jawa which shot R2-D2 in the desert.
There have been stories in the past which have sought to debunk his claims and a great story has appeared at CraveOnline.com which further refutes Wamsley's Jawa
claims. |
 |
| OUT OF OFFICE |
October 18 | Gary X
|
| I will be out of the office from Friday, October 19 to Monday, October 22. I will try and answer emails whilst I'm in Dallas for Star Wars Fan Days, but may not be able to. |
 |
| LFACC AND JOHN WILLIAMS ITEMS ARRIVE |
October 10 | Scott
|
| I received the John Williams and LFCC items last Friday and Saturday.
I am in the process of packing and shipping everything out. All 8x10 orders shipped yesterday (Tuesday). Posters will ship today/tomorrow. Action figures will ship on Friday.
If you have any questions please email me at scott@wattographs.com |
 |
| TO THE PERSON WHO'S NOT "MAN" ENOUGH TO SEND CRITICAL EMAIL WITH REAL ADDRESS |
October 03 | Gary X
|
| Confidential to: "xxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxx.com":
There's only one way you get banned from our database: giving fraudulent information when you sign up. If you can't play by the rules, you don't get to play. |
 |
| A SPECIAL REQUEST |
October 03 | Gary X
|
| This is purely a special request of me, Gary X, and has nothing to do with Wattographs itself.
Contrary to what my critics think, we don't make cash hand-over-fist at Wattographs. The money we make ends up going back into the site and to pay for our expenses when we go to shows to chase autographs for people. I'm funding this book out of my own pocket and trying to not use the resources of Wattographs in order to get everything initially published.
Just to obtain the ISBN (International Standard Book Number) in order to be able to sell the book will cost $250. An ISBN will also allow me to make the book available via bookstores around the planet, not available just via the site. Unfortunately, you have to purchase *ten* of ISBN numbers at a time, rather than just one, and one company has the exclusive rights to issue them. |
 |
| RONALD FALK "DEXTER JETTSTER" SIGNING ENDS FRIDAY |
October 01 | Gary X
|
This is just a reminder that our signing with Ronald Falk, who voiced "Dexter Jettster" in Attack of the Clones will end this Friday, October 5th.
Don't miss your chance to take part in this first-ever, Wattographs-exclusive signing. Falk has never done a convention and we don't anticipate him showing up at a show in the near future, since he lives in Australia -- it's very expensive for a show promoter to bring any of the Australian cast to a show. |
 |
| NOTES REGARDING OUR JOHN WILLIAMS KAMIKAZE SIGNING |
September 30 | Gary X
|
| We've received a few emails asking if we could clarify about the John Williams Kamikaze Signing which we had that didn't happen as scheduled.
We stated very clearly on the order page the following
Please note: In the event that Mr. Williams' schedule cannot accommodate this signing, we will refund your money in full, less shipping for returning your item. We have a scheduled date of September 13th, but his schedule is subject to professional commitments.
Unfortunately, John Williams' schedule did interfere with this project. Our in-person NYC guy drove all the way to Boston and even with the signing called off, pursued Williams all weekend – but to no avail.
There has been some rumbling about this signing on other sites' discussion boards, even after we immediately refunded everyone when we found out that the signing was a no-go. This is very disappointing, as we did everything we could to make it happen. Autograph signings aren't an entitlement. Sometimes, circumstances are beyond our control, especially with someone as in-demand and literally busy as John Williams. We are currently evaluating whether we want to hold any more Kamikaze Signings in the future.
I hope this gives a bit of insight into what happened with this signing. Since John Williams isn't readily available, we have to work on signings with restrictions. In this event, it just didn't happen as we planned. |
 |
| CHRISTINE "BREA TONNIKA" HEWETT PASSES AWAY |
September 19 | Gary X
|
We've just heard that Christine Hewett has passed away. We offer our condolences to her family and friends.
As soon as we get more information on her passing, we'll post it here.
Update: Apparently, Christine died on Tuesday, September 18, from cancer. Scott and I had the pleasure of meeting her a couple of times in the past few years and she was really a sweetheart, who quite enjoyed her time at autograph events. |

| HELP WANTED FOR GARY X'S STAR WARS AUTOGRAPH COLLECTING BOOK |
September 19 | Gary X
|
| Whether you collect hardcore, getting every single signature of anyone available who's even remotely-connected to Star Wars or you send off a fan letter every couple of months, I'm interested in including your tips, good or bad in the collecting reference book I'm writing, tentatively titled Collecting the Autographs of Star Wars: A Reference Guide
If you'd like to contribute to the book's collecting hints and tips section, please email me at gary (at) wattographs (dot) com. I'll pull the ones that I think will benefit collectors and will include them in the book, providing credit to YOU if you're the lucky submitter.
I'm also looking for stories which detail excellent advice you've received—or colossal blunders you've made with your collecting. I have my own experiences with collecting which span several decades, but sometimes a simple suggestion is something I've forgotten about or neglected to add.
Thanks for your help! |

| STAR WARS GUESTS FOR COLLECTORMANIA 12 |
September 15 | Ulrich
|
Like if the recent London Film & Comic Con wasn't enough, Showmasters got some rare Star Wars guests for their upcoming Collectormania 12 held at Milton Keynes (UK), friday 26th to sunday 28th october 2007.
First we have Wayne Pygram aka Governor Tarkin in ROTS (but best know as Scorpius in Farscape), and then we have three first timers (appearing sunday only) : David Field (Death Squad Commander in ROTJ), David Church (Rebel Soldier in ROTJ & Stormtrooper in ANH) and Derek Chafer (Stormtrooper in ANH & ESB).
And for the Expanded Universe completist we have Ethan Phillips, voice actor for Star Wars video games (KOTOR, Galactic Battlegrounds, Force Commander) but of course best remembered as Neelix in Star Trek Voyager !
Non Star Wars guests include horror genius George A. Romero and Tobe Hooper, plus Heroes, The Fog, and StarGate cast. For more details about this event please go to www.collectormania.com |

| COLLECTING THE AUTOGRAPHS OF STAR WARS: A REFERENCE GUIDE COMING SOON! |
September 15 | Gary X
|
| With the popularity of Star Wars autograph collecting skyrocketing over the past decade, we're finally at the point where the hobby deserves its own book aimed at autograph collectors, in order to help both the novice and the expert be better collectors.
I'm putting together a book, tentatively called Collecting the Autographs of Star Wars: A Reference Guide. It will detail the autograph collecting phenomenon as it relates to collecting the autographs of those connected to the Star Wars films. It will discuss in-person autograph collecting, by-mail autograph collecting and purchasing autographs from dealers and online auctions.
There will also be a very large section of authentic signature examples from dozens of people connected to the Star Wars films, from main and secondary film characters to selected crew members who figure very prominently in the Star Wars universe. This is to help people who are purchasing signatures to see what authentic examples look like and learn how to avoid getting ripped off by the multitudes of forgers who are out there. There will be a specially-written study of Carrie Fisher's signature which details things to look for when studying signatures and comparing them to authentic and non-authentic examples.
Wait! That's not all... |
 |
| LIMITED AMOUNT OF SIGNED DEXTER ACTION FIGURES AVAILABLE FOR WATTOGRAPHS SIGNING |
September 14 | Gary X
|

| DEXTER JETTSTER TO SIGN FOR WATTOGRAPHS! |
September 12 | Gary X
|
UPDATE: We've been informed that Ron Falk is going to donate all his autograph fees to two charities of his choice. Wattographs thinks this is an EXCELLENT idea and we applaud his gesture.
Wattographs has lined up an exclusive, first-ever signing with the man who voiced the owner of Chez Dexter, Ronald Falk! If you remember the scene in Attack of the Clones, he's the one who tells Obi-Wan where the dart that killed Zam Wessell came from.
Orders end October 5, 2007 at midnight,
Eastern Daylight Time.
All personal items must be to us by Tuesday, October 9, 2007 to be included in this signing.
We're also pleased to announce that we'll be able to send your personal items for this signing, too. Please remember that all personal items sent will be handled in accordance with our personal item policy. Personal item prices range from $29.99–$39.99. Make sure you read our testimonials to see what people have to say about our autograph services.
Shipping will be included with each order, when you check out with PayPal. If you desire anything like insurance or other extras, please contact us for those options.
As always, please feel free to email us with questions or comments! |
 |
| WATTOGRAPHS TO ANNOUNCE NEW FIRST-TIME SIGNER SOON! |
September 11 | Gary X
|
| Wattographs is pleased to announce that we are in the final "negotiations" to set up a signing with yet another first-time signer (no, it's not one of the "biggies"). Who will be autographing next for you? A hint: this person will be from the prequel trilogy.
Stay tuned for details. Word on the street has it that our newsletter subscribers will hear first...(that's a hint, for those who didn't get it, heh) |
 |
| DEADLINE SET FOR HOTH CONNOISSEUR SERIES PIECE |
September 07 | Gary X
|
We've set the order deadline for the Battle of Hoth Connoisseur Series piece: Midnight, November 2. This should give plenty of time for everyone to order and/or plan for ordering.
Please be advised that this piece is subject to have ordering closed earlier if we meet our ordering quota. So, please don't wait to order because you may be out of luck if you wait until the last minute. |
 |

| STORE ISSUES |
August 03 | Scott
|
| We have been made aware there is a problem with our store software. Apparently, some of you cannot put items into the shopping cart, and I have received more than one email stating this. I gave it a try and I can't add any items to my shopping cart, either. It works for some people and not for others. This glitch is being looked into.
In the meantime, if you would like to place an order you call email me directly at scott@wattographs.com.
Sorry for any problems. |

| LFCC ORDERS: PERSONAL ITEMS TO US BY AUGUST 21 |
July 26 | Gary X
|
Just a reminder that if you intend to send personal items to us to have signed at the London Film & Comic Con that they'll need to be to us by August 21, so that we have plenty of time to send everything to the UK.
To order either autographed photos or ordering your personal send-in items, please click the AUTOGRAPH STORE link to the left, then choose the "London Film & Comic Con" option on the store's homepage. |
 |
| ANOTHER REASON TO BE WARY OF EBAY AUTOGRAPH SALES |
July 25 | Gary X
|
Check out the
eBay item's
photo to the right. (The link goes directly to the auction)
This is an autograph for Frank Oz, as Yoda. The seller promises photographic
proof of the item being signed. Yet, look at the pic Oz is signing: An
Episode I Yoda. Odd?
Further exploration of the seller's items in his store shows an odd trend: none
of the autographers are signing the piece shown for sale (except one supposed
Johnny Depp image).
Why would a seller show a DIFFERENT item being signed than what's up for sale?
Is that a way to make the purchaser feel "secure"? Or is a potential buyer being
hoodwinked? I've advised the purchaser to withdraw their bid.
The more you know... |

| MORE EWOK PHOTOS FROM LONDON CONNOISSEUR SERIES SIGNING |
July 25 | Gary X
|
The ubiquitous Pyeman has sent along his photos from the Ewok signing we had in London the weekend of Celebration Europe. This was a great gathering, as many of these Ewoks have NEVER signed before and we've now added them to the CS piece, bringing the total to 25 signers from the 73 credited Ewoks from ROTJ.
If you want to see pix of the individual signers, please click through to see |

| TWO MORE REBELS FOR LFCC |
July 25 | Ulrich
|
Showmasters just announced more guests for their already impressive London Film & Comic Con :
Stephanie English, Hoth Rebel in the control room (ESB).
Mike Houston, Rebel and Stormtrooper (ESB).
And they confirmed some non Star Wars guests like Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) or comics artists Andie Tong (He-man, Starship Troopers, TMNT) and Lee Townsend (Judge Dredd, 2000AD, Family Guy sketch cards). A special signing for the new Blake's Seven Audio Adventures will take place with the writers, producers and actors. |
 |
| ANOTHER REBEL FOR LFCC ! |
July 24 | Ulrich
|
John Altman is joining the Quadrophenia reunion at the London Film and Comic Con, both Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September 2007.
John Altman is probably best know to us Star Wars fans as a Rebel Pilot in Return Of The Jedi.
Recent non Star Wars guests announced includes Mary McDonnel (Battlestar Galactica, Donnie Darko), Eric Loren (Dr Who), Linda Clark (Dr Who), and new Transformers comics artist, writer and editor. Speaking of Transformers, they will have a Bumblebee customized car on display for (free) photo sessions.
Also, the LFCC is organizing a Star Wars Zone celebrating the 30th anniversary of the saga, so if you have a suggestion for this event click here. |

| CE PHOTOS: COMPLETE GARBAGE? |
July 16 | Gary X
|
We autograph collectors have certainly been spoiled rotten by Official Pix.
Apparently, at this past weekend's Celebration Europe, photos carried by the actors were of the worst possible quality. Complaints have come through about the toilet paper-thin paper, crappy screen grabs and just the worst type of product to be offering fans...at £3.00 (or US$6.00).
Judging from the look of this sample image found online at another website (left), if this was the quality, we're flummoxed. Look how close the placement of the logos are to the edge of the image. Plus, they are more of a distraction than if they'd been placed on the image in full color. Overall, from a graphic designer standpoint: JUNK.
Does anyone have any comments on the photos that were offered at CE? Please send them in, using the "CONTACT US" button to the left. |
 |
| (UPDATE) SOME PIX FROM OUR EWOK PARTY OVER THE WEEKEND |
July 16 | Gary X
|
We managed to pull together no fewer than EIGHT UK-based Ewoks for our Connoisseur Series picture that's been in progress. This was specially put together for us by Alan Bennett, who graciously hosted a BBQ for our Wattographs staffers and the Ewok signers.
This brings our Ewok piece up to 25 signers and there were 73 credited Ewoks. You will NOT see another piece which has this many authentic Ewoks on it anywhere on the planet!
Click through to see a couple more photos of Ewoks signing and a list of people who've already been added to it. |

| LFCC SEND-IN ITEMS DEADLINE SET: AUGUST 21 |
July 14 | Gary X
|
| We've finally figured out our timing for accepting send-in items for LFCC. All personal send-in items (posters, action figures & photos) must be to us no later than August 21. This allows us to have the proper amount of time to send them over to the UK to get signed. Just like Celebration IV, we will be hand-carrying items to the convention and all of your items will be personally handled by Wattographs staffers.
So, mark your calendars! August 21st... |
 |
| CE: AUTOGRAPH PRICE DROP? |
July 13 | Gary X
|
| Wow. Someone posted on the Showmasters boards about the first day of Celebration Europe and I must say that there is a complete FIRST I've never, ever seen before: Autograph prices DROP. Read on:
Today has been interesting to say the least. The organisers know nothing about how to make a simple queuing system work - but then, I'm not surprised. Get there at 5.30, within the first 20 people in the queue, yet those hundreds of places behind you get in before you... RIGHT, that works!!
This was extended to the Mark Hamill signing session in the autograph hall, which led to some very heated exchanges between the "organisers" and joe public.
Some of the autograph prices were dropped later in the day due to a blatant and extensive lack of interest in some very over priced guests.
Away from the autograph hall, the show seemed to have some really well put together areas - all of which I will be exploring across the next two days.
So, anyone go who can shed some more light on this? |
 |
| STAR WARS GUESTS AT THE SDCC 2007 |
July 13 | Ulrich
|
Official Pix announced two signing guests for the upcoming San Diego Comic Con (july 26-29).
Dave Prowse, Darth Vader in the Original Trilogy.
Matthew Wood, General Grievous, Bib Fortuna in TPM, supervising sound editor.
And, of course, many comics artists will be appearing so keep an eye on this page at comic-con.org |

| OUCH TIME: FORD AUTOGRAPH IN NEW TOPPS SET..."SCARCE" ISN'T THE WORD |
July 10 | Gary X
|
Topps is set to turn loose their latest card set on collectors worldwide and this one is gonna be a doozy to complete. This set features autographs, as has been the modus operandi since the Evolution card set back in 2001. This set will see some EXCELLENT autograph signers, but the kicker is that there are so few autograph cards of Harrison Ford, that the odds are 1-in-49,204 packs.
With 36 packs per box and eight boxes per case...well, we'll let you do the math...
Tons of other great autographers and a giant line-up of sketch cards once again will make this a must-have set for all types of collectors.
For a look at the total offering available ONLY in hobby-shop-released boxes (not retail boxes like you'd find in Target or Wal-Mart) visit theTopps Trading Cards site. |

Syd Wragg, Imperial Officer & Rebel Soldier in ANH.

| EMAIL PROBLEMS SOLVED |
July 06 | Gary X
|
| Okay, it looks like we're up and running with our email. Apparently, we had a major glitch when the wattographs.com name was transferred to our new hosting service. Everything seems to be running okay now, so if you've held off on sending emails, you may now do so again! |

| GLIMPSE OF OFFICIAL PIX CON-EXCLUSIVE B&W PHOTO SET |
July 01 | Gary X
|
I've gotten several friend requests to view the images that were a part of Official Pix's convention-exclusive black and white photo set. Comprising 30 never-before-seen photographs, this is an excellent set of images, if not for the historical value alone. Each photograph is 8x10, with a matte-finish. These are actual photographs, not lithographed photos like the ones available for Celebration IV. Click through to see |

| NEW DATABASE FEATURE: RECENT ADDITIONS |
June 22 | Gary X
|
| We've now uploaded and tested a new feature on the main database page: a listing of the most current additions to the database. This will allow people to see daily what's been added, be it new addresses, new (success/failure) results, new (autograph) example images and new (in-person celebrity) convention images.
Enjoy! |
 |
| SUCCESS/FAILURE REPORTS: NOW LIVE! |
June 20 | Gary X
|
| I expected it to take longer, but our incomparable programmer, Andrew, has now programmed and made live the pages so database users can now add their success/failure reports! This is one of the most favored parts of the database, because it lets users know who's signing, who's not, and how long each process is taking.
We've tested the functionality and it appears this is all ready for everyone to use. So, go ahead and try to break it!
Coming soon: Database statistics, including the most recent items submitted!
Remember: if you run into any problems, please copy and paste the error page and email it to gary (at) wattographs (dot) com so that I can pass it along to Andrew for attention. Thanks!
Enjoy the new database features! As I mentioned last night, please be sure to send us your comments and (constructive) criticism on the new functionality. |

| WATTOGRAPHS DECIDES AGAINST OFFERING AUTOGRAPH SERVICES FOR CELEBRATION EUROPE |
June 20 | Gary X
|
After very careful consideration, as well as crunching a pile of numbers to try and come up with SOMETHING, *and* even looking at our UK based staff’s availability in our stead, Scott and I have decided not to offer take-in item services for Celebration Europe. It’s just too expensive any way we look at it and we’d rather wait, as there hasn’t really been any guests announced who can’t be had elsewhere, often at a discount over the prices already put out on the CE website. |
 |
| FINALLY! DATABASE SUBMISSIONS OPEN AGAIN! |
June 19 | Gary X
|
| After a very long wait, we've built and tested the new functionality for the Wattographs database: users can now add information to celebrity records once again! We think this new functionality was worth the long wait.
Users can now:
- Submit new addresses
- Submit autographed photo examples
- Submit convention images of the celebrities themselves
Coming soon: Submit success/failure reports.
This is just the start of several new features of functionality we have planned for our database users. We've got more surprises up our sleeves.
So, if you've been waiting to add your images and new addresses, hop over to the database and add away! Please remember that all submissions must be approved by us behind-the-scenes, so it may take a day or so before they are live in the database.
Also, if you run into any problems, please copy and paste the error page and email it to gary (at) wattographs (dot) com so that I can pass it along to Andrew for attention. Thanks!
Enjoy the new database features! Be sure to send us your comments and (constructive) criticism on this new functionality. |

| C4, KYLE ROWLING ITEMS SHIPPED |
June 14 | Scott
|
| I have mailed all of the Kyle Rowling items to everyone. These were shipped to customers either last Friday or this past Monday. I was able to mix them in and get them shipped while doing the C4 orders, which have also all shipped except for those ones which were having further "handling" of other things.

| URL NOW POINTS TO NEW SITE |
June 11 | Gary X
|
| The Internet Domain Name Servers (DNS) are in the process of propagating our new address so that wattographs.com points here. We're in the final stages of rebuilding this site, so I figure the time was right to make the switch.
The address database (read only) is now online, including the ability to create new accounts if you don't have one. Our store will return soon -- I have the software set up and am programming all the current items. I have graduation on Saturday, so I'm anticipating that the store will be rocking and rolling next week.
At this time, the forums are now down. We're going to be integrating them so that you can log in using ONE login, so it may be a while before they return. If you have specific questions that you would ask us on the forums, please feel free to email me direct: gary (at) wattographs (dot) com. |

| OOMPA LOOMPAS AT AUTOGRAPHICA 10 |
June 07 | Ulrich
|
| Three Oompa Loompas were announced tonight for the next Autographica event sheduled for the 13th & 14th October 2007 in London, UK. What? Oompa Loompas you say?! If I mention those guests on Wattographs, it's because two of them were in Star Wars. Malcom Dixon was an Ewok in ROTJ and Rusty Goffe was a Jawa and Kabe in ANH. More guests to be announced... |
 |
| DATABASE ACCOUNT CREATION ENABLED ONCE MORE |
June 05 | Gary X
|
| We've now opened up the Wattographs Star Wars Celebrity Address database for people who'd like to create an account. This means you can now register for our database -- or retrieve past log-in information if you've forgotten it.
Please note that you can still only BROWSE the database for now. You can't upload images or success/failure reports. We are working on the new code for "adding" items to the database and expect that to be up and ready in the next couple of weeks.
After that, we'll begin work on user interactivity, including the ability to track your requests online! No more having to having to create spreadsheets or track scribbled-on pieces of paper for your autograph requests. You'll be able to do it all online! And best of all, the cost is a hefty FREE! |

| WANT THE CELEBRATION IV EXCLUSIVE ACTION FIGURES? |
June 01 | Gary X
|
We managed to pick up a couple of extra sets of the Celebration IV exclusive Ralph McQuarrie concept figures: C3PO & R2D2 and Luke Skywalker. We've had a bunch of people inquire about them and we were able to take care of getting figures for them. We have a couple of sets left which we're going to make available for our site visitors.
If you'd like a set of these, we're asking for a total of $10 over the cost of the two figures, which was $35. Total cost would be $45 + shipping. If you're interested email gary (at) wattographs (dot) com
First come, first served... |

| CELEBRATION IV ITEMS ARRIVE IN DETROIT |
June 01 | Gary X
|
| Scott has informed me that the items we shipped from Celebration IV have arrived with him in Detroit. He will now organize everything and plans to begin shipping on Monday.
Due to the tremendous amount of items he has to go through, please do not email us asking when your specific items will ship. They will ship as soon as he packages up the particular order and puts it in the mail. |

| A COUPLE OF IMAGES FROM C4 |
May 30 | Gary X

I've put up a couple of my Celebration IV images on the site. Unfortunately, due to the huge concentration of getting peoples' items signed, I didn't take as many as I'd like. But, click through to see a few more. |

| ADDRESS DATABASE: NEW ACCOUNT CREATION DISABLED |
May 30 | Gary X
|
| As we put the finishing touches on the database, no one is able to create a new account yet. If you had an account previous to the closure of the database earlier this year, you can log-in. Otherwise, everyone else will have to wait until we get that portion finished. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we're getting REALLY close to launch! |
 |
| C4 COMPLETED, WATTOGRAPHS STAFFERS ON WAY HOME |
May 29 | Gary X
|
| It was a lot of work, but Celebration IV is finally over and we're making our way back to our respective homes. As I type this, Scott's already back in Detroit and The Pyeman (and a couple other Brits) are winging their way back to the UK. I'm the last one to be leaving, but hope to have a report and photos up in the next couple of days. |
 |
| WELCOME TO OUR NEW SITE! |
May 22 | Gary X
|
| We'd like welcome everyone to the new Wattographs website. We're in the final stages of building the site, so some pages haven't been made active yet.
The database will go live in the next couple of days, once we get the final bugs worked out. Please be advised: IF THE DATABASE IS STILL OFFLINE, YOU WILL *NOT* BE ABLE TO LOG-IN.
Since we're currently all at Celebration 4, updates will be by two of our new news guys, Arvin Mathur (of TheSithEmpire.net) and Ulrich Decoster (of SithClan.net). They'll be posting photos that I'll send from the convention. Be aware that I have a crappy camera on my phone, so they won't be the bestest of images...but they'll be images nonetheless. |
 |
| ALL CELEBRATION ORDERING ENDS / OUT OF THE OFFICE NOTICE |
May 20 | Ulrich
|
| We kept the "additional item" pages up over the weekend so that people who wanted to order program books, photos, etc., could do so. We've now removed ordering options. Thank you to everyone who has taken advantage of our offers. We consider it a large success and hope that we'll be able to such things again in the future for major conventions.
The Wattographs staff is headed for Celebration IV on Wednesday and will be out of the office until mid-week of May 28th. If you're going to Celebration, don't forget to drop by and say "hi" -- it's always fun to match names and faces together! |
 |
| CELEBRATION IV: ITEMS MUST BE TO US BY MAY 14 |
May 12 | Andrew
|
We're at the two-weeks-left mark in order to get any items to us that you want signed at Celebration IV. We have to catalogue and then pack everything up/ship it so that it's waiting for us in Los Angeles when we arrive on May 23.
The drop-dead date for things to be in our hands is May 14th.
We realize that many people are waiting the announcement of the last two Guests of Honor before sending anything. While we know the identity of the last two remaining guests, we're not at liberty to reveal them due to contractual issues. And no, we won't give any hints...
If you are waiting to send items, you may want to send what you already desire to be signed, based on who's been announced, then send any additional items once the Guests of Honor are announced. We've been told that these guests may not be announced until the last minute -- which would be beyond our acceptance date for "normal" signatures. In the event of this we WILL set up to take items for the unannounced GOHs. Additionally, we are hearing that they may not sign for the entire show and our ability to have private signing time may be limited or impossible.
Click through to our special Celebration IV order page! |

| SPECULATION: GARY KURTZ TO BE AT C4? |
May 12 | Andrew
|
| Tiffany Kurtz wrote a post recently discussing her father, Producer Gary Kurtz, being in Southern California for a special Star Wars screening. She writes: "Dad will be back this way next month, for longer I hope." Could this mean he's going to be in Los Angeles for Celebration IV? Might he be a potential Guest of Honor? Here's hoping! |
 |
| OP CONVENTION EXCLUSIVES NOW AVAILABLE - QUANTITIES LIMITED |
May 12 | Andrew
|
Looks like we'll be able to pick up limited numbers of the Official Pix Celebration IV exclusives. Of particular note is the black and white photo set of many never-before-seen images from the Lucasfilm Archives. There will only be 250 of these created, so if you collect images for Star Wars to use as signing pieces or just to collect, this is a must-have for that collection. The Celebration IV Master Photo Collection will contain one each of every image that will be available for the actors to sign at the convention. Finally, the convention-exclusive binder is always a good addition to any collection, especially if you're ordering the other photos, or simply as a specialized binder to keep your C4 autographs in. This is good to have if you write away for autographs or if you aren't going but plan to meet up with some of the actors in the future. Click the image above to go to our special order page. |
